The OSCA/Mystics of Discovery parade entries will be limited

to the first forty-five paid floats.

Parade Route: Beginning at Ward Ave and Government St; west on Government St to Washington Ave; south on Washington Ave to Porter Ave; west on Porter Ave to Front Beach; east on Front Beach to Jackson Ave; north on Jackson Ave to Porter Ave; east on Porter Ave to Washington Ave; north on Washington Ave to Government St; east on Government St to Ward Ave.

Line Up: Line Up begins at 4:30 pm and ends promptly at 6:30 pm.

 

The Line Up entrance is General Pershing Ave at Government St.

 

Line up is numerical.

 

Float numbers will be available on the Organizations website:

Original Signed Application Documents, Payment and Proof of Insurance Documents may be provided no later than during the ‘Captains Meeting’ and the acceptance of these documents is at the discretion of the Parade Captain.

 

If you have any question as to your groups ability to participate, its appropriate category or insurance requirements, submit your inquiries including a brief explanation of the circumstances to registration@osmardigras.com

 

Political adverting/sponsorship MUST be approved by the OSCA committee in advance and are subject to Commercial Fees.

I (We) the undersigned agree that as a condition of participating in the Ocean Springs Carnival Association Parade that I (we) will obey the rules and regulations as presented on the Ocean Springs Carnival Association website and further that I (we) agree to require everyone participating in my (our) group to obey said rules and regulations.

 

I (We) recognize that OSCA Officials may prevent participation in/or cause expulsion from the OSCA parade, without refund of fees or expenses, if any member of my (our) group fails to abide by the rules and regulations.

 

I (We) acknowledge that as a condition for participating in the Ocean Springs Carnival Association,  I (we) do hereby hold the Ocean Springs Carnival Association, its members and volunteers harmless, and indemnify them for any property damages and/or bodily injuries sustained because of any negligent or intentional act by me (us) while enroute to, during, or leaving the parade.

 

I (We) understand that this agreement to indemnify includes attorneys fees and

expenses for defending any claim, as well as any damages awarded for that claim.

 

All entries are required to provide proof of satisfactory insurance coverage and must submit same at the time of payment.

[1]Civic Organizations include recognized non-profits and charitable organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, BPOE, Religious Organizations (i.e. CYO). The vessel must be the property or rental of the Organization. The discount does not apply simply because a member of such an Organization is on-board.

[2] Includes Civic/Social Organizations such as Shriners, Hibernia Marching Society, etc.

[3] Includes operated floats that charge a fee to ride whose riders are not otherwise permanently affiliated with one another (i.e. not a “Krewe”) for the purpose of producing a profit for the owner/operator of the float.

[4] Includes groups associated with for-profit entities (i.e. privately owned gymnastic studios, dance troupes)
